DANIEL TILLOTSON – EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT – USPM HEALTH PLANS
Daniel Tillotson is Executive Vice President of U.S. Health Plans, a business unit of U.S. Preventive Medicine®. He has served in this position since October, 2007. Previously, Mr. Tillotson founded and operated two Medicaid health service companies – one in Florida and one in New York. Over a seven-year period, he executed marketing plans for both companies that resulted in $42 and $48 million of growth respectively. Upon sale of these two companies, investors realized annualized returns on their investment of 120% and 88% respectively.
Prior to this position, Mr. Tillotson served as Vice President and Director of Marketing for Comprehensive American Care, a Miami-based Hispanic HMO during 1986 and 1987 where he executed a one year marketing plan resulting in $28 million in annualized recurring Medicare revenue for the Company. Prior to serving in this position Mr. Tillotson served as the Chief Marketing and Operational Officer of U.S. Healthcare’s Florida operating unit (an IPA HMO) from 1983 to 1985. In this capacity he developed markets in Jacksonville, Tampa, and Orlando, building the start-up unit to $200 million in annualized revenue over a three-year period.
Prior to this position, Mr. Tillotson served as General Manager for CIGNA in Florida from 1975 to 1982, during which time he developed multi-specialty outpatient medical facilities for the group practice HMO model in the Miami and Tampa markets. As a result, the company grew to the dominant market position in the state over a five year period.
During the course of his extensive business career, Mr. Tillotson has served on numerous boards of health care and trade organizations including President of Florida HMO Association, Board Member, New York State HMO Association and Board member Westchester Institute for Human Development.
Mr. Tillotson attended the University of Maine, Farmington, as an Edith Green Scholar where he majored in economics and social science. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida College of Business Management.
