Boyd D. Lyles, Jr., M.D., Executive Vice President & Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Lyles is an internationally known physician, lecturer and author specializing in prevention and wellness, particularly in the area of heart health.  He is the Founding Director of the HeartHealth and Wellness Center in Dallas, Texas, and previously served 17 years at the Cooper Clinic in Dallas, Texas, the final six years as Associate Medical Director, where he also consulted with a number of health care systems on incorporating  preventive services and wellness programs.

He is a frequent national and international speaker on the subjects of lipids, health, nutrition and fitness and serves as a physician consultant and medical director for a number of large corporations and professional sports teams.   Dr. Lyles graduated with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Southern Methodist University, received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Medical Branch,  and completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Oklahoma,

James Ehrlich, M.D.

Dr. James Ehrlich is the medical director and founder of Colorado Heart Imaging (CHI) in Denver, a preventive medical imaging facility using electron beam tomography for early detection of coronary disease and cancer. Dr. Ehrlich is the medical co-director of similar facilities in Houston, Washington, D.C. and Boston, while consulting at several other imaging centers nationally and in Europe.

Considered an authority in the integration of imaging methods with conventional coronary risk assessment, he has given over 75 lectures in the field during the past four years. He has contributed a chapter on Electron Beam Tomography imaging for the second edition of Cardiology Secrets, a textbook released in 2001. Involved in atherosclerosis research with investigators at three medical schools, Dr. Ehrlich is a director and founding member of the Society of Atherosclerosis Imaging. In Denver, he is routinely profiled in the Denver Business Journal, "Who's Who in Health Care" and for two years hosted a talk radio show on KHOW emphasizing preventive medicine.

After graduating with honors from Boston University School of Medicine in 1976, he did his internship and residency training at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center where he remained as a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Anesthesiology, a specialty he practiced for twenty years. Dr. Ehrlich is currently on the staff of University Hospital and Rose Medical Center in Denver.

Thomas J. Fogarty, M.D.

Dr. Fogarty is an internationally recognized cardiovascular surgeon, inventor, entrepreneur, and vintner.  He received his undergraduate from Xavier University in 1956 and graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 1960.  He completed his internship and residency at the University of Oregon Medical School and later served as Medical President at Stanford University Medical Center.  He performed fellowships in vascular disease at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, another as Clinical Associate for the National Heart Institute, and finally with the division of Cardiovascular Surgery at Stanford University Medical Center.  After thirteen years directing the Cardiovascular Surgery Program at Sequoia Hospital, he has returned to academic life at Stanford University School of Medicine, as professor in Surgery

Dr. Fogarty’s notable credentials and accomplishments uniquely qualify him in the areas of wellness and prevention.
  • Founder/ co-founder, and Chairman/ Board Member of over 33 various business and research companies, based on devices designed and developed by Fogarty Engineering, Inc.
  • Acquired over 100 surgical patents, including the industry standard Fogarty a balloon embolectomy catheter and the widely used Aneurx Stent Graft that replaces open- heart abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) surgery.
  • Recipient of the Jacobson Innovation Award of the American College of Surgeons, the 2000 Lemelson- MIT prize for Invention and Innovation and was inducted into the Inventors Hall of Fame in December 2001.
  • Published 180 scientific articles and textbook chapters in fields of general and cardiovascular surgery.
  • Leadership positions with the American Heart Association, International Society of Endovascular Specialists, Current Surgery Journal and the Journal of Endovascular Therapy

J. Crayton Pruitt, M.D.

Dr. Pruitt is an acclaimed vascular surgeon, biomedical inventor, speaker and author whose career has focused on stroke intervention and prevention. Dr. Pruitt earned his medical degree at the Emory University School of Medicine and held various positions at the National Cancer Institute during his military service.

Dr. Pruitt is the founder and Medical Director, Vascular Institute of Florida , Director, Wound Care Center HCA Hospital ( St. Petersburg ), National Medical Director Lifeline Screening Inc., Consultant for Vascular Products for Cryolife, Inc., and consultant for LeMaitre Vascular, Inc. Dr. Pruitt was the co-founder of Ideas for Medicine, the co-inventor of Pruitt-Inahara Carotid Shunt, and developed the Pruitt Occlusive Catheters, Embolectomy Catheters, Irrigation-Occlusion Catheters, and the Pruitt Endarterectomy Instruments.

John A. Rumberger, M.D.

Dr. Rumberger received his doctorate in engineering from The Ohio State University in 1976 and graduated from the University of Miami School of Medicine in 1978. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at The Ohio State University Hospitals, and completed a cardiovascular diseases fellowship and early faculty development at the University of Iowa. Prior to his current position, Dr. Rumberger was Professor of Medicine and Consultant in the Department of Cardiovascular Diseases at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. It was during this time that his reputation as a leader in the development and application of computed tomography (EBT) of the heart was established. He has published extensively and continues to lecture and train other physicians in the United States, Europe, and Asia.

Dr. Rumberger is recognized as the world's leading authority on cardiac and vascular imaging using EBT. His notable credentials make him uniquely qualified to evaluate results:
