Research confirms that physicians want to have adequate time to interview and counsel their clients. They want the best outcomes for their clients, and want their treatments and prevention strategies informed by the best available diagnostic procedures. Prevention-aware doctors welcome the Center's role as an ally in developing stronger, more involved relationships with patients.

Physicians collaborating with The Center for Preventive Medicine® appreciate being able to practice this type of medicine, which provides them the ability to dedicate the time needed to address the specific needs of patients and their concerns about specific risks of future disease.

Involvement in the Center for Preventive Medicine® provides the tools to enhance clinical preventive services in the community with the knowledge they are being proactive by offering patients and the community the access to the best and latest in preventive care.

The Voice of the Doctor
Hear what Doctors have to say about The Prevention Plan
(length: 5 min)

Physicians who see clients after a visit to The Center for Preventive Medicine® can expand and enhance the care they deliver to their patients by using the comprehensive risk assessment, health status data and recommendations from colleagues. During the Center consultation, the doctor provides medical guidance, follow-up recommendations, and orders additional tests, if necessary. Since a daylong regimen of exams and evaluations at the Center can be demanding, consulting with their personal physician following their visit to the Center allows clients to supplement their understanding of their health status and intervention recommendations.  We also encourage clients to share the results of their Center visit with their physicians so this information can be incorporated into an ongoing care plan.
